you have to have a door handle now to pass an mot for acidents reasons , i wanted to do the same but no can do lol , unless you get 2 over doors to stick on for mot lol
I thought aslong as there was a handle inside you were ok? Just, not doing yourself favours regarding an accident.. worse case then they can smash window and get into door that way?
Meh..

Wrong lol, But for MOT you do have to have a clearly advertised emergancy relaease clearly indicated, I.e under your wheel arch or on the floor plan for the MOT,
But you can just take the note or whatever after lol

most of them have a buttons under the wing mirror,
ok if you running standard mirrors it it'll look a bit odd, but under bullet or downtown style mirrors i wouldnt have thought you would see it
dunno how they do it tho

with tvrs they were factory fitted so they get away with it
It doesn't matter if it's factory fitted or done aftermarket. As long as the craftsmanship is the same quality and follows the same guidlines, you can have anything thats factory fitted on a previous car.

i was on my way to asdas the other day, and rolling up next to me at the lights was a dark escort blue mini, with no door handles, and no passenger mirror and a full body kit a deep dish wheel, everything that i want to do to my car!!!!!
so i quickly followed the driver to the carpark and approached him.
i short conversation followed after he realised i wasnt trying to car jack him, lol.
turns out that he bought the car from mini speed in surrey with the handles already smoothed, basicly it consisted of a solenoid, and nothing else, the compresision of the door rubber popped the door open, and inside there were no handles whatsoever, and i believe he had to wind the window down to close the door when inside, it all looked very smooth and lush. all he had was a remote that operated a relay for the solenoid, much like an alarm. i have seen these advertised on ebay, with a built in alarm, although they are from america.
as for means of escape he just had a button on the dash which he pressed to pop the doors open.
he told me that minispeed "advised him" on how to get through an mot with it. although the conversation was a bit brief, ill be catching up with him again soon.
i thouroughly loved the look of the smooth doors, and it definately swayed me to get it done.

Not a VOSA website, but worded and set out the same as the online test manual available to all testers
