As a sparky, and a bit of a perfectionist, it's pains me to see some of the messy wiring on minis.

Can anyone post some examples of massive rewiring jobs, or tidying up ideas?

If I was to do a complete rewire, think I'd bring all the fuses and relays together in a nice neat box inside the glove box.

Anyhoo, I'm sure somebody must know some swish ideas and photos to give me inspiration?

built a complete loom for my last mini. fuses mounted inside the car under the dash with 2 little clips so it folded down for access. every circuit relayed where necessary. all neatly wrapped and heat protected where needs be, or got some natty nylon sleeving from maplins where it was exposed. The next car's gonna be even better!

I'll see if i can find some pictures, but here's one for now for ya....

That wasn't the final draft by the way... I can't find that file! Took me about 2 weeks to draw, and about 3 weeks to build. Some of the simple stuff was just tidying up the existing wiring (e.g. column controls) but most of it was custom. First one i'd tried, and it went fine. Think i messed up one of the relays earths when building it, but knowing what i'd actually done, it was then an easy fix.

EDIT: Forgot to mention... this changed a lot of systems, and is incomplete, so don't use it directly for any wiring mods you may do! :ermm:
