There sprayed black by whoever owns them or whoever painted them.is there anybody who produces them ? or are they just a one of design and whoever owns them just got lucky

powder-coating them is quite cheep and defiantly is the best way, its similar to the proses of chrome plaiting but the pigment is charged to attract to the metal and stick and a protective resin type layer is also included in the proses. this means you will have a permanent black coating.
one other option is this, im now in the proses of a little experiment, fibreglass replacements, if all thing go well i will be offering them at say £20 a pair

the mini designer had nimbus grey trim as standard and im still looking around, after over a year for trim bits they are soo F****** rarenice oneThe Mini Designer had them as standard
will just need to wait till some one is selling there designer for spares lol .

my dad said he could fibreglass mines, so i will try that we experiment aswell and see how it goes. if not i will just stick to chrome.um just wanted to say i have only ever seen designer rings sold once and i purchased them, your only option really is to get the chrome ones powder-coated, trust me do not sand them and paint them its a very temporary. im an artist i know. sorry to be so blunt but everyone says spray them. Chrome or Stainless is so smooth that paint simply wont stick for long (even if keyed).

i guy said landrovers had them but i cant find them anywhere either
