I know this may be a really silly question :D

But if you were to have your reg plate printed on the bonnet like say Paddy Hopkirk's do i still have to have the normal white plate on aswell??

Thanks

~Callum

A very old car can legally have it (only) on the bonnet - and old looking car will probably
get away with it but it's not legal.

Mine's an 89 but with lots of retro bits (and a paint job that looks 100 years old)
and I've never had any problems (but I know the guy who does my MOT very well...)

To be honest I don't think it would suit a car which didn't have similarly period styling... *thinks* :)

From a legal point of view, retro looking Minis often get away with it, as do MX5s (but it's so popular police probably think it's standard lol!) but it's not technically allowed.
