Ok so I was thinking of debumpering my mini and maybe getting a carbon fibre bonnet.. Spent about 5minutes on photoshop and made this:

personally, i love minis de-bumpered as it gives a better balance with the chrome as i think they have far too much on the front

I've de bumpered mine so a yes from me. As always, each to their own.

Some pictures on my project page if you want to have a look, still in primer yet though.

Good luck

Thanks guys, I know its all personal preference but I imagine its hard work 're-bumpering' a mini, so the more opinions the better!

The front's a doddle but the back, now that's a whole different story.

would you debumper the rear as well or leave it bumpered?

maybe get a closer picture so the carbon fibre bonnet can be seen a little better
aside from that if its done well i reckon it would look quite nice

its not hard to re-bumper it, alot of people make 2 or 3 tabs and weld them on to get the bumper back on the rear, so dont let this put you off

ps, mite be wrong about the number of tabs/brackets but not important

oh, n if your having a carbon bonnet, then it needs debumpering, itl look mean as hell then

I think I would leave the back with a bumper on..
All the feedback is great, might go for it.. How much is a carbon fiber bonnet these days?
I saw arc angels have one for £230 with an exposed weave (option 2) anyone know a better place to go?

Anyone seen a mini with 1/4 bumpers and a centred (normal) number plate, sort of like the old Mk1 Escorts. As I was wondering if that would work, although it wouldn't be so mean, also allows you to keep the rear bumper

In my opinion the front look ok, but the back just doesn't work for me especially with the mk 1 look youve given it. Also I wouldn't advertise keeping a child locked up inside your car, it leads to odd questions.

P.S Really im just jealous as its new and shiny, with no rust.
