Hi,

Is it worth selling my black and silver leather front and rear seats to get bucket seats?
Would the bucket seats be more comfortable?

The only plus side i have so far is:

If i sell my current seats I could get about £800 and bucket seats are about £300 for 2 including subframes.

Had Cobra buckets in my cooper, really comfy. I used to slide about in corners with the leather seats. If you sell your rear seat you'll need to buy another one for there.

Depends on the seat, The cobra monaco pro has to be the most comfertable seat ive been in, other than posibly the one in the gumpert.
They are definatly allot nicer than the standerd type seats and are more suited to a mini's handeling ability.

what seats are they to fetch that much?

At first I was going to say I'll swap my buckets with you but if your expecting that much then it wouldn't be worth it

i take it its the later MPI interior? i know they go for quite a lot on ebay!

The MPi interiors feth an absolute bomb, regardless of how much or little you are selling.

I'd say that £800 for the seats is a bit of a tall order, maybe more about £350 - £400.

Personally, I wouldn't sell them, the resell value of your car will reduce dramatically if you don't put the leather seats back in when you sell the car...

You'd be lucky to get £800 lol, I don't think the mpi seats are comfortable, I prefere the SPI ones with the support at the side. Im thinking of getting bucket seats also tho

When I was first looking for an interior I fell in love with the silver/black full leather seats which came on the Sport 500's.

For the full interior (carpet didn't really matter to be quite honest) you're looking for around about the £550-£650 depending on how bad someone wants a set.

I'd keep the interior (you won't really fetch much for just the front two) and save up for some seats (you could probably pick them up cheap at shows etc)

You should keep the original seats for if/when you sell your car. That goes for lights and other add-ons. You get to sell an original car and still have your seats to fit in your next one.

Personally I love the silver black mpi interior! It's very nice, if I was you I would keep your interior just incase you want to sell your car. Its nice to still have it.. anyway. I was reading the other day that someone had taken their mpi Mini for it;s mot and it had bucket seats in the front.. I think that the mot people picked up on the seats because there was a warning light on the dash.. do mpi mini's have a seat alert thing? Something to do with the seatbelt?

I know in my head what I am trying to say, but I can't put it on here!! Erm.. it was something about the dash warning light being on because the bucket seats didn't use the standard seat belt so when it went for it;s mot the light stayed on?? Just thought I would mention this just incase.. but ignore me if it isn't relevant!!
