by shaved, do you mean, taken off and smoothed?

don't see why it'd be illegal people have been doing it for years, but i wouldn't want to have to try and figure out how to get in when the locks and mechanisms have frozen :P

if the locks pack up on a mini or any other classic its easy to get in you just remove the front or rear screen

Obviously you coulent do this on a modern car as the screens are bonded in... but then on a modern car they normally have other ways in like the boot.

Go for it.

Dont quote me on this but I seem to remember that VOSA started clamping down on cars that have had the door handles removed. Something to do with that if you were in a crash and knocked unconscious for example, the car could catch fire and rescuers wouldnt be able to open the doors to get you out.
Like I said dont quote me on it, I know of cars that have had all the handles removed except the drivers one and passed the MOT fine I just remember reading it somewhere.

i have read this somewhere aswell and like the tvr's you need someway of getting in the car from the outside, the tvr has a button hidden :) somewhere by the mirrors i think. as above dont quote me on this but i looked the same thing up ages ago because i wanted to remove my handles to.
