How To Fit Arches

well today i got some new arches so while my car is off the road im gonna fit them but i tried to have a look and i have no clue, they are the arches where you can see the rivets but do they go thru the original holes or do i need to drill holes in the body and would it sound right that the hole would be aout an inch higher than the oiginal holes any help would be good and if needs be i can add pictures of the arhes

It will depend on what type they are, I put some group 2 wides on as a replacement for my standard blacks when I got my new wheels, I needed to drill new holes and position the arch wider and higher than its predecessor and because of the new wheels I had to grind away a few inches from the wing itself.
