Well just before Christmas it seemed I accidently found a tatty old mk 1 shell that was perfect for my master plan of using my fibre glass sprint shell....and bought it...ops ;)

The main ingredients:

1 tatty old mini in need of a reshell

1 fibre glass sprint shell

The plan:

Mix the ingredients together and produce a lovely mk1 mini sprint, SVA the lovely vehicle and get the thing on the road and to the shows!

So after Christmas the work began....not buy me unfortunately but a helpful friend.

1 stripped shell:

it turned out that the floor pan was holier than the pope himself, good job im not using the shell then.

But in the new year I was able to take some time off eating to get started on it!

See photographic evidence of me working!!!

First task was stripping the front sub frame, something that I have never done before.

Rear subby and bits:

And the lovely little 850 engine that I have no idea if it will run:

So i hope thats given you a taster and updates will follow when I get a chance to do some more work :X

Is that an engineering trick Mr Brown? Cutting 'ventilation' holes in the rear drums?! ;)

Yes cheers Jammy, the lightweight drums were a happy coincidence. May not reuse them though ;)
