Always thought inviting 2 types of cars to one show would make a good spectacle.

A 1 day show with 2 show n shine, Self judged where the Mini owners have to select their top 3 VW's and the VW owners have to select there top 3 minis etc.

A few comps through the day to liven things up.
Usual minis against VW owners at something like footie, tyre rolling, alternator throwing etc etc.

was thinking of doing it in the midlands or something like that

feed back on what you people think to taking on the vw's....

i think tho just for now being this year maybe a cruise only, eg convoy from A to C stopping off at B for a beer ....

as long as the replys are nice once this post gets going i might link it up to the other forum i have in mind in hooking up with and see what can be aranged.

I think it'd be really good. Get to compare the 2 types of car. Unfortunately i wouldn't be turning up as a. I can't drive and b. My Mini is in no fit state!

Great idea. I've got a VW camper (undergoing restoration) as well so it'd be a top event for me.

Not sure who's side I'd be on once the campers finished though.

Midlands would be perfect to.

Sounds like a top idea, unite the two sides together for a day so to speak, Midlands is good, convoy is good, BEER is good!!!

I nominate Billing as a venue, easy to get to for everyone and in the middle of the country!

that was the first venue that got into my head to, and everyone will know which junction of the m1 it is because there will be a tail back of minis lol

Yup it's such a good idea that it's a regular thing already. There've been lots of Minis vs Beetles days around the country over the years. LSMC run a shootout fairly regularly.

A TMF / (some dodgy beetle forum) day would be very cool if you can get it done Mark.

yeh, we could run it at Santa Pod or Shakespeare Raceway and have a battle on the 1/4 as well for the weekender

there is no mini vhs beetal runs there at all no even a mini event or show

it would be good to see some minis up there for a change come on people !!
