It is true not getting at any one but when you hear the words like "you can build one of these cars for £bla bla bla" That to me must be a rolling chassi. Then you see someone put one on ebay for 6 or 7k its mental.
I have every reciept for mine down to the last rivet and roll of masking tape and the price people are talking i could by two ready built ones :w00t:

Bit of an update. bought a few things from the malvern show last weekend and ordered bits from minispares. Although a few things have to go back as i ordered the wrong bits!! I supose ordering at 1am is the cause.

Parts arrived include

1 X BRUSHED ALUMINIUM DOOR KIT

1 X CHROME WINDOW WIPER SET

1 x CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER EARLY NON GENUINE

1 xEBC GREEN STUFF BRAKE PADS,8.4 DISC ( to be return as are wrong)

1 x BRAKE PAD CLIPS AND PINS KIT METRO 84>VENTED LXO115

2 x CALIPER SEAL REPAIR KIT 4 POT "A" TYPE CALIPERS

8 x CALIPER PISTON 4 POT S/STEEL INC METRO

2 x BRAKE DISC METRO TURBO VENTED SOLD SINGLE

1 x BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER,LARGE PLASTIC RESERVOIR/LM12997 (to be returned)

4 x BLEED NIPPLE M10 FOR 4 POT ALLOY CALIPER (to be returned)

2 x PLASTIC HEADLAMP BOWL KIT

Ive moddified the mini bowl retaining ring to suite the golf crosshair lights and so it can be adjusted as normal. All that was needed was the retaining ring to be cuts and the clips fitted. The test will only tell if it works but still no sign of bonnet!

The 4 pots have been built up just need tightening and attatching to car. Just got to send the wrong bits back

Also got the rectifier back from chris. I want to start the build up but just dont want to attatched things and find others dont fit so think i may well buy he majority of things before i go in any direction. Next step is defo order cooling system!

i picked up my paddle shift assembly today all the way from minnesota! i must say the quality is excellent and well worth the spondoolies feels like it would take a bettering!! i spent a few month looking for 1 i liked and that i thought would put up with alot of use.

I originally wanted to fabricate this myself but now ive change to field service i havent got much use of the workshop so opted to buy instead. This assemble is originally for a games console steering wheel.... so i wasnt expecting it to be as tuff as it is.

Its made of of amongst other things, billet additional buttons, sheet metal centre bracket finished in like a ruff plastic (almost like a satin), sheet paddles powder coated black which have a very short throw movement . Everything is adjustable and parts are available too!

Im having to get an undrilled steering wheel as the mounts are 5 stud. most steering wheels are universal 6 stud i think! momo looks to be the way to go or maybe Personal

Also does anyone know a company who fabricate centre locking hubs? i notice carl austin makes them but nearly 600 a set seems a bit much, then again they are titaniun! i was looking for something a little cheaper. Ive found a set of wheels i want but would also like to go down the centre lock route cheers.
