Preferably without bothering Guessworks (as I 'm sure he must be sick of box questions) but ......
Does anyone know if there is a master list of all A and A+ gearboxes with ratios and type of car found in ?
Hopefully with ...
Practical uses.
Evaluation one vs another
Casting numbers
Internal ratios
Final drives
etc etc
Any help much appreciated.

There is one more which is in some of the last twin points, noted by the double grove cut in the gear... I've just not bothered counting the teeth yet on them, but I think it's the same as the 1.0 HLE Metro

Hello, Nonencounter information of my gear box. Externally it has a reference that puts 1X12540R so and as one is in the following image.

The gear box, belongs to a motor AUTHI Cooper 1300 of year 1974 made in Spain.
This is the image of motor:

I would like to know if she has some equivalence with your gear boxes. The “FD” is 62/19=3.26315789.
A greeting

The place you have shown on the front of the gearbox is not a BMC mark, but a postproduction identification probably by a gearbox reconditioner.. ( I use the same spot to mark gearboxes )
The actual raised casting there is just accidental, and is a result of the molds to create the part where the oil strainer is connected on the inside of the box.
But what I can tell you is the engine originally was early 1275 GT engine, with an A series gearbox... but both have been remanufactured.
